Plum and Ginger Jam


Makes 2 Agee Jam Jars plus a little to try

  • 3 cups plums, de-stoned, sliced
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ginger

Bring plums to a simmer in a medium size heavy based saucepan.

Add sugar and freshly grated ginger and stir until sugar has dissolved. 

Simmer 4-6 mins, stirring frequently. 

Place a drop of hot jam on a cold saucer. On tipping the saucer the jam should move slightly and form a skin. Pour into hot sterilised Agee Jam Jars. Apply Agee cellophane covers as per directions. Allow to cool and store in a cool dry place.
